Chapter 2073: Not Even Bones
Chapter 2073: Not Even Bones
Grey was not as playful as Void, so his opponents did not have the luxury of living longer. Although the space was sealed, he was still a lightning quick Elementalist thanks to his lightning, wind, and light element. Making use of just the wind and lightning element, he appeared in front of the young lady’s formation, attacking with his fire element.
His fire element had always been his strongest element, it was just that due to the utility of the space element, people tend to forget just how strong his blue flames were.
The lady and her group tried to block the attack with their combined effort.
Bang! Crack!
The protective screen they set in front of them was cracked after just one attack from Grey. They hurriedly reinforced the protective screen, while trying to get the group closer to them to come assist them kill Grey.
Grey could care less about them asking for help, he sent out one fire ball after another, increasing the cracks on the protective shield. After over ten attacks, he created a fire bird that was over ten meters long, sending it straight into the protective screen.
When the lady saw the approaching fire bird, she motivated her subordinates, "Brace! We can block this!"
Boom!
The fire bird crashed into the screen beak first, before exploding.
The shockwave from the attack colliding with the protective screen destroyed the surrounding trees, creating a large expanse of empty land.
Grey did not continue his attack after this, he watched coldly as the cracks on the protective screen continued to spread. His eyes turned colder when he noticed although the screen was cracked all over, it still held up.
The lady and her subordinates behind the protective screen heaved a sigh of relief when they saw the protective screen holding up.
"He’s only a Ninth stage Sovereign, it doesn’t make sense for him to be this strong." The lady said as she struggled to breathe. The price they had to pay to block just this attack was not small, as the faces of every one in the protective screen had gone pale from the excess energy they had to expend.
They were still thinking of the lady’s question when they saw a sight that terrified them. A four colored orb was slowly floating over. Even from the current distance, they could tell that this attack was greatly superior to the fire bird Grey used the last time.
The lady roused up her subordinates as they poured all their energy into the protective screen. This was the only thing keeping them safe from Grey’s evil clutches, so they knew what their outcome would be if it got destroyed.
The protective screen shone with an even more brilliant light, indicating that it was no longer fixed, but it was better and stronger than what it used to be. The faces of the lady and her subordinates grew even paler as the protective screen’s light grew brighter.
As soon as the four colored fusion orb made contact with the protective screen, the weakest person among the lady’s group who was a Second stage Sovereign coughed up a mouthful of blood and passed out instantly.
The Second stage Sovereign was only the first. The lady’s formation was made up of eighteen people, with her being the only Seventh stage Sovereign. There were two Sixth stage Sovereigns, two Fifth stage Sovereigns, and with the exception of the Second stage Sovereign who just passed out, the rest were Fourth and Third stage Sovereigns respectively.
One after the other, the weaker Sovereigns started to cough up blood, some passing out, while others could barely keep themselves standing.
As the people channeling essence into the formation started to slowly reduce, the brilliant glow of the protective screen slowly started to recede.
In a few seconds, eight of the eighteen Elementalists were either passed or unable to move. The lady was still hopeful, but her hopes shattered along with the sound of the protective screen falling apart.
Grey’s fusion orb had passed through, without him even needing to explode it. The fusion orb continued along its path, stopping in front of the lady and the standing Elementalist.
With a snap of Grey’s fingers, the fusion orb exploded, enveloping the entire group in a bright light.
The entire forest lit up from this attack, drawing the attention of everyone fighting. Since the battle started, this was the strongest attack unleashed, and to the dismay of the Gnomes, it was from Grey.
The nine Eighth stage Sovereigns chasing after the bunny leader all turned their gazes to the site of the explosion, fear evident in their eyes. They each knew it was impossible for them to block that attack given their strength.
"This boy must be killed!" Natt said through gritted teeth. They had watched Grey grow stronger and stronger over the years, and they had thought he would not be absurdly strong in the Late stages of the Sovereign Plane. From the looks of things, it was evident that this was a massive miscalculation on their path since he was just as unreasonably strong as he was when he was younger.
’How does this make sense?’
Natt felt like the world was suddenly not as colorful as it used to be for him. Grey’s existence was like a darkness eradicating all the light in his life. How could there be such an evil? And how did they allow this evil to grow this strong?
The light from the explosion died down after almost a minute, and the sight that came to view stunned the Gnomes and humans. Other than Grey who was standing there, there was no sight of a single individual. It was as if they stopped existing.
One attack wiped out the existence of multiple Sovereigns from the face of the world. Even though they knew it would be hard for the lady’s group to survive the impact of such an attack, they still felt at least one of two of them would survive. Reality however, was vastly different from what they thought. The attack basically disintegrated them, leaving nothing behind, not even bones.
