Chapter 2060: All Of You Must Die!

Chapter 2060: All Of You Must Die!

’Damn it!’

No one from the last surviving group had the courage to fight anymore. Grey’s brutality scared them to the core. The middle-aged man in the Fifth stage who was the first to attack Grey thinking he was weak was shaking fervently due to fear. He almost assaulted this demon, and now there was no way for them to escape, which was the craziest part.

"Why must you kill us? We can fight the Gnomes, capture us and send us to war. We’re even willing to let you plant a heart seal on us so we will never be able to betray you in the future." The lady suddenly suggested.

In the end, although she might have a tough persona, she did not want to die. None of the remaining survivors wanted to die. If they had to become slaves just to keep their lives, she did not mind doing that.

"Sorry, but I’ll never accept people who have betrayed and killed their fellow humans." Grey’s voice grew colder as he spat coldly, "All of you must die!"

After saying this, Grey did not try to speak to them again, he instantly made a move. Making a grabbing motion, a large palm made entirely from fire elemental essence grabbed at the group of five.

The lady, using all her strength, was able to stop the palm. Grey might be terrifying, but in the end, an Eighth stage Sovereign is only one stage below a Ninth stage one. Thus, they can at the very least fight back.

Grey did not expect to kill the lady and her group with just this move. He made a slashing movement with his right hand, and multiple wind blades shot straight at the group of five.

Seeing the incoming attack, the lady urged the others in the formation as they poured their essence into creating a thin essence shield to block the wind blades.

The wind blades crashed into the shield. At first, the shield was holding up, but the wind blades seemed endless, and cracks started to appear within a short period of time.

The lady knew they could not stop the blow, so she hastily retreated with the group, moving away from the area of the attack.

The shield shattered just after they left, with wind blades flashing past where they stood a second ago.

Grey’s figure vanished, and he reappeared not far from them. A three colored fusion orb rested on his palm as he let it float in their direction.

The lady’s pupils dilated at the sight of this attack. She could sense the strength contained within that small orb, and without her current strength, she did not have the confidence of surviving such an attack. A typical Sixth stage Sovereign would definitely die the instant they were faced with such an attack.

A massive fireball formed in front of the group, as she threw it at the fusion orb. The size difference of the two was astounding. The fusion orb was only about the size of a fist, while the fireball on the other hand was easily over a hundred times the size of the fusion orb.

The fusion orb sank into the fireball like it was a blurb of water, and what followed suit was a bright explosion that covered a region of almost five hundred meters.

Before the explosion even died down, Grey had pinpointed the location of the lady and her group, and while they were still blinded by the light, he struck.

A bolt of lightning flashed through the sky, hitting one of the men in the group square in the head.

"Huh?"

Not getting the desired result, Grey was a little taken aback. Every Fifth stage Sovereign would never come out unscathed from his random attack, much less one who was not only burning his life essence, but he was also channeling most of his power into the lady. Even if the attack did not kill the man, Grey expected it to at least leave him seriously injured.

His eyes glowed bright blue and when he looked closer, he figured out the reason behind this.

’The person who created this array formation really was thoughtful.’ He praised internally.

The formation not only allowed the members to channel their strength to the person at the core, it also had a defensive side, protecting the weaker members of the formation. This way, if someone wanted to pick them off one by one, it would be nearly impossible.

While Grey was studying the formation, the light from the explosion died down, and the group could be seen once again. Their bodies were covered in blood, and the lady even had a missing arm.

Gritting her teeth, she looked at Grey with hatred. She wanted to fight back, but she did not have the courage nor confidence that they could win if they fought against him. They had only exchanged a few moves yet they had suffered heavily.

"Damn it! You’ve forced my hand!" The lady held her injured shoulder which was missing an arm before bringing out something from her storage ring.

"A Necromancer?" Grey raised a brow at the sight of what the lady brought out. It was a human, one who was clearly long dead.

"I can only use this thing once, I’ve been saving it for something better, but I guess killing you with it will land me a hefty reward from the Gnomes." The lady licked her blood covered lips, staring at Grey like he was prize money.

The human puppet did not make any moves after she brought it out, it only stood still mid-air.

The lady quickly made a few hand seals with her only hand, and a symbol shot into the body of the puppet... its eyes slowly opened.

The lady pointed at Grey and said venomously, "Kill him."

The puppet’s dead eyes glowed red and its aura exploded, sending out a shockwave that sent the lady and her group fighting... it was the aura of a Peak stage Sovereign.
