’Void!’
Grey called out to Void the moment he noticed he was being overwhelmed. He had no problem dealing with a single Peak Sovereign from this Small World, given the difference in strength between them and those from their World. However, against four though, he was completely powerless to even fight back.
Faced with these four, all he could do was dodge and block some attacks. Even blocking these attacks came at a cost. In only a matter of seconds, he was already bloodied from the onslaught.
Void, realizing Grey could not hold on any longer, did not dally around. Preparing a sneak attack, he was able to catch the white-clothed man off guard.
These four had seen Void with Grey all this while, but they never imagined that he was a powerful being. Void’s ability to conceal his aura was second only to the Bunny Leader. The duo could be in the presence of multiple top experts, and could still make it seem like they were not even Magical Beasts, but regular animals. For this reason, none of these Beasts people expected an attack to come from the unassuming black cat.
Void’s small claws slashed out with lightning speed, leaving a dark trail behind it.
The white-clothed beastman who was his target only sensed the attack when it was already within inches of him. Even with that, he still reacted quickly, raising his hands, covered in lightning to block the attack.
Void did not use the lightning, or even fire element to attack. Instead, he used the darkness element. In a sneak attack just like this one, although the lightning and fire elements held more destructive powers, the darkness element would not only be able to take the opponent unaware, it would also be able to slowly eat away at said person’s strength if it connected successfully.
One should not be fooled by Void’s small body, he possessed unimaginable strength. Even among Grey’s friends, none of them can dare say they could defeat Void, which goes to show just how powerful he was.
The white-clothed man never expected this Small cat to possess such a frightening attack. When the claw connected with him, he felt a strange and corrosive energy seep into his body. A wound appeared on both his arms he used to block, dyeing his white clothing with red blood.
The stinging pain from the injury made the white-clothed man hiss in pain.
This was not the end. Due to the sudden appearance of Void, the other three were partially frozen in surprise.
The trio were frozen in shock, but Grey was not. He already knew Void was attacking, and even knew the target beforehand. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Grey, who had been forced to only defend, struck.
His attack was fierce, and his target was none other than the white-clothed beastman. The other three might be able to block his attack given their conditions. The same could not be said for the white-clothed beastman.
Grey knew Void used the darkness element to attack, and one of the best abilities of the darkness element was its corrosiveness. This corrosiveness is able to eat at any being’s elemental essence, making it difficult for them to manipulate their elements.
The white-clothed beastman panicked when he sensed Grey’s attack coming almost immediately after just being struck by the strange attack. His senses flared as he sensed immediate danger. Wanting to block the attack, he tried to urge his elemental essence to try to block the attack, only to notice something odd; although he could manipulate and use his essence, it was moving very slowly.
At any other time, this would have not been a problem. Sadly, an attack that threatened his life was headed his way, and from the looks of things, there was no way he could block this attack. Even if the attack does not kill him, he would be seriously wounded and probably even bedridden for a long time.
Just as the white-clothed beastman was enveloped by despair, the gray-haired beastman was the first to react.
He was the oldest, and had experienced hundreds, if not thousands of battles. With his vast combat experience, he was able to react in time.
The others reacted a second later than the gray-haired beastman.
Boom!
Grey’s attack forced the gray-haired beastman to slam into the white-clothed beastman. The latter spat out a mouthful of blood, while the latter grunted.
The gray-haired beastman was under the impression that the reason Grey was able to send him flying during their first clash was due to his negligence. After taking this attack however, he understood that it had nothing to do with his negligence, his opponent was strong, too strong for his cultivation stage.
If he was up against anyone else, he believed said person would never be able to defend against their four, much less fight back. Grey was not only able to defend himself from their attacks, he was even able to use such a powerful counterattack as well. One has to know that Void’s attack came at a time when they were still bombarding Grey with attacks. So everything happened within a second, from them attacking Grey, to Void suddenly attacking the white-clothed beastman, and to Grey taking advantage of it to strike as well.
For someone who was under such pressure to be able to launch an attack of such power in such a limited time showed Grey’s excellent abilities. To be honest, the gray-haired beastman was very impressed. If not for the fact they could not understand each other, and that the latter stole their sacred treasure, he would not mind having a conversation with this strange boy.
Grey squinted his eyes when he saw that his attack failed to achieve its purpose. He knew the attack would not kill the white-clothed beastman, but it would have definitely incapacitated him, which was his intention.
’Damn it! This will take longer than I thought.’ A sombre expression appeared on Grey’s face.
When leaving the group, he was told to return within one hour, and that time is almost up.
