Chapter 1810: The Absolute Resonance Seed

As the Dark Sect Master's icy voice spread throughout the world, Li Luo's heart was beset by troubling waves. At the same time, a hair-raising chill that penetrated deep into his bones overcame him, as though he was completely frozen. His gaze turned incredibly gloomy.

"What is the Dark Sect Master trying to say? What does she mean about the Absolute Resonance Seed she left behind?" he wondered.

The Dark Sect Master smiled as though she was able to see the frightened and furious thoughts running through his mind. She kindly explained, "In consideration of the fact that you've managed to nurture the Absolute Resonance Seed to this point, I'll answer the questions in your heart. I fought against the Origin of Absolute Corruption and the Sect Master to the very end. They used all of the power at their disposal to seal me, but I secretly activated an art that caused the Sect Master's Absolute Resonance Seed to return to its most primordial state.

"The seed was then placed in the sect's ruins in its original form, as it was a requirement to complete my plan to unify the world. However, I needed it to be nurtured to its limit, the Ten Divine Seals Realm. The perfect tool was required to have it reach that realm for me.

"And now... you ended up being that tool. You've accomplished your mission very well, and I'm very satisfied."

The Dark Sect Master looked at Li Luo with a warm and gentle gaze. Li Luo's expression remained glum as his heart was filled with anger and trepidation. He had never expected that even the Absolute Resonance Seed would be part of the Dark Sect Master's plan from the beginning. Just how long had this scheme gone on for?

Perhaps the very fact that Li Taixuan and Tantai Lan had stumbled upon the ruins of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect was all due to the machinations of the Dark Sect Master. Just how terrifying was she, capable of influencing and predicting events so far into the future? She was the black hand behind the curtain that had obscured the river of time and seemed to have calculated everything.

Li Luo was overcome with shock and anger. He was unable to accept that despite all of the hard work he had put in till now, he had been serving as a mere chess piece of the Dark Sect Master, a tool to nurture the Absolute Resonance Seed. Furthermore, she wished to seize it from him. Without it, the foundation of his power and potential would collapse and be destroyed. This was unacceptable to him.

When the Dark Sect Master saw the determination and fury in his eyes, she lightly sighed. "It never belonged to you in the first place. It's rude to take other people's things. Thus, you should return it to me."

With that, she stretched out her pale hand. At that very instant, all of the living creatures in the divine continents felt their sight darken, and an indescribably titanic shadowy hand appeared, covering the skies of the entire world. The hand then grasped towards Li Luo.

"All Heavenly Emperors, activate the formation!" Heavenly Emperor Jiang shouted, his voice rumbling like thunder.

A moment later, the Heavenly Emperors all roared in unison. Beams of power filled with Authority shot into the air, turning into divine light that condensed within the Immemorial World It was the Divine Devil Trapping Formation.

The Dark Sect Master had fused with the Origin of Absolute Corruption and was capable of suppressing the Shadow World's Others completely. Thus, Sightless Underworld and the other Grand Devil Kings were easily restrained.

It was fortunate that the Heavenly Emperors of the divine continents were not subject to the same pressure and were able to come together and resist. They knew that they couldn't sit idly and watch the Dark Sect Master take the Absolute Resonance Seed from Li Luo. Otherwise, when her power was completely restored, she could carry out her plan and fuse the two worlds.

When the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation was imbued with the power of countless Authorities, the grand formation began to release an unprecedented blast of power. Glorious light swept out, transforming into a divine blade so massive that one couldn't see the end of it. All of the different Authorities were flowing across the edge of the blade, giving it the ability to rend worlds into two. The blade was known as Devil's Bane.

The Golden Primordial Tree beneath Heavenly Emperor Jiang started to burn, and dense, raging golden flames soared into the sky, further augmenting Devil's Bane.

"Attack!" With Heavenly Emperor Jiang's furious declaration, the blade hacked downwards.

Weng!

Divine light poured forth, shattering the layers of darkness. Then a dim light began to bloom at the very edge of the horizon. All of the Heavenly Emperors were elated. Had they managed to escape from the palm of the Dark Sect Master?

Alas, their joy swiftly evaporated. Indescribably humongous fingers stretched out from where the dim light was starting to blossom, lightly grabbing Devil's Bane. The hand then lightly squeezed, setting off a vast rumble.

The massive sword let out a mournful cry as the layers of Authority within it crumbled. In the end, the blade was unable to bear the weight of the hand and collapsed into motes of light. This caused all of the Heavenly Emperors within the divine continents to spit out mouthfuls of blood. They experienced massive recoil and cracks started to appear on their bodies. Not even the vast power of Authority was enough to allow them to recover.

Heavenly Emperor Jiang was the one with the heaviest injuries. The crack between his brows had split apart, as though his entire body had been cleaved into two. His emerald-green Divine Fruit was also filled with crack marks, and its light was rapidly dimming. His mouth was filled with blood and his eyes were full of grief.

"This strength... She has reached the tenth-grade!" he yelled hoarsely, his voice shaky from fear.

Whoever reached the tenth-grade could casually swat away the combined power of all the Heavenly Emperors. Everyone was filled with terror. Had someone with a tenth-grade resonance finally appeared? Who could stop such a being?

Meanwhile, the unimaginably massive palm smashed down viciously, crashing into the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation. A deafening roar resounded in every corner of the world. A moment later, countless mountains collapsed, seas dried up in the blink of an eye, and countless abysses were filled up. A devastating catastrophe swept across the world, ending countless lives. The sounds of defeated wailing could be heard in every city.

Then the divine light in the sky completely vanished. When the Heavenly Emperors saw this scene, despair welled up in their hearts. What they had thought to be the most supreme formation built for the purpose of protecting the divine continents had been easily smashed apart. It had been capable of resisting the Shadow World's onslaught in the past, but it was as flimsy as a piece of paper before the absolute might of the Dark Sect Master. Could it be that the divine continents would finally perish at the hands of this generation?

"I'm clearly trying to save the world and end the chaos that's been plaguing it since the beginning of time... However, you keep trying to resist. How can you possibly bring about a new world with such close-mindedness?" asked the Dark Sect Master, her voice warm, though it seemed to contain a hint of dissatisfaction.

She then appeared in the sky above the divine continents and stretched a hand towards Li Luo. The entire region around Li Luo was severed and isolated from the heavens and earth. Her hand descended like an unbreakable prison, enveloping him.

Li Luo's eyes turned crimson. The Absolute Resonance Halo appeared behind him, beginning to spin in reverse. No matter how terrifying the Dark Sect Master was, there was no way he was going to sit by idly and await his death. After all, that was the only result anyway!

Even when faced with Li Luo's final struggle, the Dark Sect Master casually remarked, "An ant shaking a tree."

The giant hand then clenched, on the precipice of crushing him and taking away the Absolute Resonance Seed. Everyone's eyes turned bloodshot, on the brink of bursting apart. An air of powerlessness and despair filled the world.

Weng!

However, just as Li Luo was about to activate the halo and self-detonate, vast light swept out of the stagnant world. The sound of chanting followed, seeming capable of purifying the entire world. Li Luo felt a stabbing pain in his eyes upon witnessing this divine light, but he still turned towards its source, where he saw a familiar figure standing there. She was holding the Holy Phoenix Parasol, and behind her were twelve wings of light. It was like the goddess of light was descending upon the mortal realm.

Jiang Qing'e had arrived. However, what shocked Li Luo was the fact that the power she was emanating was so incredible, it made the power of Authority seem lackluster in comparison. It was the quasi tenth-grade light resonance! Jiang Qing'e had fully awakened amidst this critical life-and-death juncture.

The sacred light surged, causing the hand that had formed a cage around him to be pried apart. The scene brought the Heavenly Emperors a newfound sense of excitement and hope.

"Oh? The quasi tenth-grade light resonance..." the Dark Sect Master muttered to herself, a little surprised. "Is this the final card she left behind?"
