Chapter 1289: Reinforcements

Beams of light filled with enormous energy flew across the sky. Many newcomers arrived on the battlefield at this instant. As soon as they appeared, a powerful force swept across and pushed back against the pressure coming from the Blackwater Guardians and Heaven Devouring Guardians.

Countless shocked gazes looked over immediately.

The enormous amount of energy appeared to have condensed into a cloud layer. Thousands of people stood on the cloud as strands of energy rose up, gathered and condensed into a giant formation.

At the front of the formation, a cold and heroic man stood upright with his hands behind his back. A domineering pressure radiated from him. Four Duke Bergfrieds materialized above his head as they rumbled amidst the tremendous amount of energy that had condensed.

Many of them recognized him immediately. They all exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't that... the Guardian General of the Dragon's Fang Guardians, Li Foluo!"

The reinforcements from Heavenly Dragon Peak had finally arrived.

The rogue cultivators let out a sigh of disappointment. With the way things had developed, they could forget about getting their hands on the Sovereign Pearl now.

Some of them glanced over at Li Luo, with a little admiration in their eyes. During the escape, Li Luo and his team had arduously conquered obstacle after obstacle. He had to overcome strong foes like Zhao Zhuoyan and if he had not defeated him earlier, the latter would have taken his Sovereign Pearl and retreated by now. He did not fall for Chu Qing's incendiary words. After all, the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhu had a pretty decent relationship with the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li. Although they competed from time to time, it was much better when compared to the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin and the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao.

Qin Yi whispered back to him, "There is nothing we can do about it. The reinforcements from Heavenly Dragon Peak had arrived too quickly. We can't expect Martial Brother to snatch it from Li Foluo's hands, that's too unreasonable."

"If a Dragon Fang Envoy had appeared, I would not have hesitated. However, Li Foluo graced us with his presence. I wonder if I'll stand a chance of beating him when reach the third-grade Duke stage in future?" Chu Qing replied.

Although he was still a second-grade Duke, he had already defeated third-grade Dukes in the past. His immense and formidable foundation was indisputable.

"There is no hurry, Senior. You are exceptionally talented. You'll surely become the Guardian General of the Nine Tribulations Guardians in the future." Qin Yi responded with a chuckle. He was originally carrying out his own mission when an emergency summons came from the Heavenly Dragon Pavilion. He was asked to rush over and aid Li Luo as fast as he could.

"You can't blame me for this." Li Luo looked back at him innocently. It was already a rare occurrence for a Sovereign Pearl to even appear. How could he possibly give up on it in that case?

He might be safe now but Jiang Qing'e had been left behind to face many of the Dukes alone.

He heard that the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Zhao had sent out many powerful Dukes and was worried Hall Master Jinpan would be at a disadvantage. Thus he's also brought some friends."

Li Luo heaved a sigh of relief when he heard about it. It wasn't an unfounded comment that he was the source of trouble... Three Guardian Generals from the Heavenly Dragon Five Guardian Armies had rushed over due to this incident.

This was Li Jushen, the Guardian General of the Dragon's Bone Guardians.

His voice was clear and resounded loudly across the sky like the boom of thunder.

Not too far away, Chu Qing and Qin Yi had also heard his words. Their eyes wavered as they glanced over at the beauty who floated in the middle of the sky.

"She's the unrivaled talent with the Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried?" Chu Qing's gaze seemed to ignite with interest as his competitive nature was aroused. "So that's the fiancee of Li Luo... Jiang Qing'e?" Qin Yi thought in her heart.
